- The people registered for the choir battle will have to come to the Palais de la Mutualité on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 9:15 am and identify themselves at the information desk so that they can confirm their presence.
- Once identified, you will be invited to go and settle down directly in the Edouard Herriot room reserved for the event (please settle down by choir and divide yourselves at the indicated location)
- The choir conductors are invited to join the first row of the room to take place on the space reserved for the JURY in front of the stage
- The Jury will be composed as follows :
- 1 place reserved for each choir conductor
- 1 or more guests can also complete this jury and will each have the same missions as the other members (with the difference that they will not conduct the choir on stage)
- Once all the participants have been checked in and set up, our 2 masters of ceremony will introduce themselves and officially launch this Choir Battle around 10.00 am.
- The presence of all registered participants is desired before the launch of the ceremony, in order to avoid disrupting the smooth running of the competition.
- A quick presentation of the choirs present will be made by our masters of ceremony then they will draw lots to define the order of passage of the choirs on the first part of the competition
- For the second part of the competition the order will be simply reversed
- The first selected choir will be able to go directly to the stage (at the call of the masters of ceremony) - the second will have to be ready and can begin to warm up at the dedicated location specified on site while waiting for his passage on stage
- Volunteers will be present to help the day run smoothly and to guide participants.
- Upon arrival on stage, participants will have 5 minutes to warm up with their choir director before launching their performance (valid for each part of the competition) - additional time may be granted for the choir which will come first on each part of the Battle (on simple request of the choirmaster)
- Once the choir has presented its songs, the jury will grade the performance according to a number of criteria that will be specified on the day of the event (grades from 1 to 6)
- the number of points accumulated during the different stages of the competition will give us the 3 winners of the competition
- points stage 1 + stage 2 of the competition = result, which will give us the general ranking of the choirs
- If the first 3 places of the final ranking are made up of choirs with the same number of points, the jury will have to decide if it is necessary to put the choirs in question back on stage to decide between them (they will then be able to present a song from their own repertoire to try to win the 1st place)
